Halfway Across the River: A Jam for Doongmabulla Springs

For more than twelve years, the Nagana Yarrbayn Cultural Custodians have fought to protect the sacred waters of Doongmabulla Springs. After years of legal challenges and two years of government attempts to have their case thrown out, they are now moving to trial following a landmark Court of Appeal victory in January 2026. This trial has the potential to reshape how Australian law recognises the authority of Cultural Custodians to protect Country, not just for them, but for Aboriginal communities everywhere. Lili Alaska, Alma Collective, Jordan Kenny, the Doc Sprocket bike shop and musicians at BASE music have joined forces to promote this fight and fundraise in our local community. All proceeds of the event will go directly to the Nagana Yarrbayn Cultural Custodians.
